ARCHITECTURAL PROJECTS

LARGE FAMILY HOUSE, EXTENSION & RECONFIGURATION, AYLESBURY

Proposal comprising the demolition of the existing side extension and erection of a new single storey side extension, a two-storey rear extension and a 1.5 storey annex extension as well as the remodelling and reconfiguration of the internal layout of the dwelling.

Due to a number of small add on extension over the previous century the layout of the house was too compact while the space was not being successfully used by the current occupants.

Arcline Architecture were employed to reconfigure the internal layout of the property through proposing various extensions and design features to improve the overall use of the space and the general appearance of the dwelling.

The scheme intends to combine the existing south-west facing lounge with a proposed side extension to provide a new kitchen while the rear north-west facing part of the property will be redesigned with a new feature staircase and ground to first floor glazed curtain walling to maximise light deep into the property. The existing annex at the rear of the property is to also be reconfigured to improve circulation while a proposed enclosed staircase will provide access to the study and living space located on the first floor of the new annex roof extension.
